“When I came out, I didn’t go and go hardcore and be like, ‘I’m going to save the world for LGBT'. You’ve got to learn it. You’ve got to learn it first, and she's not, really. ... I think you can be strategic before you come out as well. Beforehand, I was definitely repping the community, even when I wasn’t saying this is what I was. And I’m not faulting you because yes, we need you. It’s too fast, too soon.”
--Raven Symone, once again overstepping her bounds, and instead of putting her foot in her mouth, making us want to stick our feet in our ears.
See, we generally back her when she preaches equality for everyone -- like how she did in verbally backhanding Candace Cameron -- but when she goes on these off-topic rants where she makes paltry attempts to put herself on a pedestal above everyone who might remotely be similar to her in values, appearance, or occupation, it's more than just a little grating.
This is, however, exactly what she did to Caitlyn Jenner on a recent "View" airing, and it's doubtless that even those simpletons opposed to The Way of This Life would say that they'd take Raven's stance on things when pitted against those of Caitlyn. We get it, Raven -- you're way more LGBT than anybody else ever could be. Congratulations.
We'd say "That's So Raven" ... but "That's So Stupid" really sums it up a bit better.
